Water recovery when washing can be achieved in two ways; the first can be recovering water when washing on a wash mat. This method insures that no runoff contacts the ground. When the run off collects on the mat, it is picked up either by vacuum or sump pump and transferred to a holding tank on the work truck. When the job is completed the recovered water is discharged at Ultra Wash’s garage with the proper permits. The second method of recovery is to barricade the drains to prevent water from reaching the storm sewer. This procedure allows water to hit the ground but not the storm drain. Once intercepted at the drain, the water is then vacuumed up and transferred to a holding tank on the work truck. The water is then transported to Ultra Wash’s garage to be discharged with the proper permit.
